What is WalletIntel?

A REST API, MCP server and A2A agent that screens crypto wallet addresses against the OFAC SDN sanctions list and returns a 0-100 risk score, with balances, activity and counterparty analysis for EVM wallets.

Which sanctions list does WalletIntel use?

The U.S. Treasury OFAC Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list: every digital currency address in Treasury's SDN Advanced file, about 1,050 addresses, refreshed daily at 06:00 UTC. Each answer says when the list was last refreshed and, on a match, names the listed party.

Which blockchains are supported?

Sanctions screening works for any address on the OFAC list, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tron, USDT, Litecoin, Monero and Solana. Balances, 30-day activity and transaction-graph checks are available for Ethereum, Base, Polygon and Arbitrum.

What happens if a data source is down?

If the sanctions list cannot be read, or Alchemy cannot be reached for an EVM wallet, the API answers 503 and the call is not billed. It never reports a wallet as clean because a source failed.

How is the risk score calculated?

80 points for an OFAC match; 5 for more than 500 outbound transfers in 30 days and 5 for more than 100 counterparties; on /investigate also 30 for Tornado Cash contract interactions, 25 for Tornado Cash volume, 20 for high-risk and 20 for sanctioned counterparties. Capped at 100: low below 40, medium below 60, high below 80, critical from 80.

How is WalletIntel billed?

Subscribe on AWS Marketplace and pay per successful call on your AWS bill with an X-API-Key (a batch of up to 20 addresses is one call), or pay with x402 in USDC on Base or Solana with no account. Failed calls are not billed.
